now accepting applications for "Turning the Table of Hip-Hop
Summit: A New School Agenda on Health & Education 4 America's
Youth" Presenters.
Youth
Presenter Requirements
Young
people, ages 16-25, who enjoy inspiring others to action are
encouraged to apply. Applicants should be comfortable speaking
in front of large audiences and must have the support of the
agency with which they are affiliated.
An adult
agency sponsor must agree to work in partnership with the
young person to provide guidance in the preparation of panel
presentations. If the applicant is under 18, an adult sponsor
must accompany him or her on-site. The adult agency sponsor
will be responsible for his/her own travel, lodging arrangements,
and conference registration.
Applying
youth must describe his or her involvement with the current
agency or a youth program (e.g. volunteered as youth worker,
provided peer counseling) and also public speaking experience,
if any.
Adult
& Youth Presenter Requirements
For each
youth and adult Presenter, please supply the following information:
(If there will be more than one Presenter suggested for a
specific workshop, fill out an additional Presenter application
indicating the workshop title.)
